I have a car on the juice(125) on an otherwise stock motor, gt40s are only are only gonna net you like 40 tops( I could be wrong) plus a few from the e-cam, so tops your lookin at 250 wheel, 350-365 spray, got a friend with a car that puts down 602hp to the wheels and runs 10.80s, honestly your 350whp isn't gonna get you past 12.50s on a good day with the wind blowing your way

Stock bottom end, stock cam, stock heads with some larger valves and better valve springs (and a valve job), cobra intake, TV, MAF, pulleys, full exhaust, gears and tires.

So for those who are saying 350 rwhp will not go faster than 12.50...

My 256 rwho went 12.53 with 18" rims out front and 17" rims out back. 350 rwhp should be deep 11s!

No, shows exactly the opposite, that 90% of the people on stangnet have no clue what they are talking about.

Many, many stock motored mustangs have gone high 12s or very very low 13s. I'm talking without porting, without a cam, without an intake. Bone stock never opened motor. You need the right bolt ons, some weight reduction, at least 3.73s, slicks, and no fear of breaking your t5. If you put slicks on this car and have any idea how to make it down the track it can go high 12s on motor no problem, assuming you don't live on Mount everest.

And yes, it will go easy 11s on the jug. God you people should really do some research or learn how to drive before preaching this bull ****.

Some people are happy with mediocre times?

BTW Josh, dads car went 9.94 and 9.98 at LVD last weekend. He was happy going 9.9x at the Valley in so so weather! The 9.98 pass was hot lapped as well! Can't wait for that car to hit Etown or possibly Atco in cold weather!!! To the average guy, he has a mid 11 second combo too.

OK know it all ive seen and drove enough races over the years to give that estimate, Yeah estimate is without powershifting. more like driving hard but still driving home afterwards. I dont doubt the times ur giving aren't possible im just going with averages from experience years and years of it. Saying a bone stock 5.0 with a couple addons running high 12s is not something u see often lets see what he runs? Besides I beat Ken all the time on Pass Times

I won't, my friend is getting married this weekend. My brother and father might make it up, but I definately wont be there.

89stang1, it depends who you race with. I run with a group of guys, and I can say that every single one of them with very minor bolt ons were 12.7-13.1s. There were 5 or 6 cars that all did it. Granted we don't go to the track to shift like old ladies, and worry about broken parts. We go there looking to win the race, or run the number.

I understand the idea of saying a slower time, with the thought that your not giving him hopes of running faster than he might run... but the comments like, you won't, or can't run the number others of us have posted... well that remains to be debated. Especially when some of us have run that number, if not better!

Yup, but there have been a few others who have tossed around the won't or can't... To a lot of them, if they didn't do it, or haven't seen it, it can't happen.

There are just certain things that make me laugh. When someone says a car can't or won't do, exactly what mine or a friends does every weekend... I have to get a chuckle out of it.

Hell yea, Adam told me yesterday, I was so pumped haha. Saw the wheels up pictures too. I wanna see that thing run in person again. All motor stick shift running 9s at a junk track... **** yea man. Can you give me the exact details on the motor again? That thing runs for what it is.

Are you going to the track day on the 21st at the Valley? I'm bringing the Busa back finally. Shooting for an 8 sec pass right off the trailer and I don't wanna leave without a .7x. We're staying over night and watching the Outlaw 10.5s the next day.

True, the majority of them don't run that number. But that's because the majority of people don't tune or drive them properly. I don't see the point of spending all the time, effort and money to go to the track and baby a car. Drive the ****in wheels off it and try to pull the t5 through the floor. That's just how I think cars should be used. My post wasn't directed 100% at you, just saying it's ridiculous how many people claim these cars CAN'T and WON'T run 12s without h/c/i and a 3000 shot. If I cared enough I would fix the rear end in my car and go make a 12 second pass on the 21st but it's just not worth it. Much more fun to race on the street.

Can we get some video proof???
And some engine pics and all the mods. then post a vid. of that combo run a 12?

I like to see it for myself

edit..

read this.... http://www.mustang50magazine.com/featuredvehicles/m5lp_0701_1992_calypso_lx/index.html

"full exhaust, a cold-air kit, a 190-lph fuel pump, 3.73 gears, Nitto 555R Extreme drag radials, FRPP King Cobra clutch, lowering springs, new ignition components, and a short belt for the dragstrip. A return trip to the track rewarded him with consistent 13.60s and a best 13.57/101-mph pass."

This is why i dont see it possible.... onlything he doesnt have is a cam and i dont think a cam is going to drop the time a full sec.

Hey, I actually agree with you on this! It always blows my mind when I hear of people with stick shift H/C/I cars running high 13s/ low 14s. Plenty of well-thought-out stock motor cars run into the 12s.

To the OP, if you have all your ducks in a row and know how to drive that thing, I wouldn't be suprised to see you breaking into the 11s on spray. I also think that running a PROPERLY TUNED 150 shot on that motor will cause no problems. I used to hang with a guy that regularly sprayed that much (and more) at his car (ported E7s and a tubular GT40), and never had problems.

I don't see anything about weight reduction, and some other tips and tricks. Nitto drag radials and lowering springs does not equal a good launch. That car is nowhere near its potential. Plus we don't know how it was driven, or what the elevation was. I've beaten several bolt on or more Mustangs very badly with mine. Nobody gets it, but you just have to know what you're doing.

There's a guaranteed 2 things that you're going to need to make it go 12s. A 1.7 60 ft, and 103mph trap will do it almost every time.

Here, read this "official" 12 second stocker combo thread! - Corral Forums

Video you say ...

Sure thing. How about stock heads (with the work mentioned before), stock cam and some bolt ons. Full weight with 18s out front and 17s out back. Some of you guys just need to try harder I guess...

12.66 pass: YouTube - 25thmustang's Channel

12.53 pass: YouTube - 25thmustang's Channel

Pictures you say ...

Not sure how to prove it any better than that, but a "few" members here have seen the car in person, and at the track, and can vouche for the fact that it has what it has and runs what it runs.

Josh, I can have the dad break it down some more. But its a solid roller 393, AFR 185s, FR intake, carb, backed by a Jericho into a built 8.8.
