Yeah it is amazing. Guess it depends who you know. My brother actually just tossed his motor together. Upgraded the valve springs and such on his GT40Ps, and had a cam made. The engine guy from knowing what it ran (12.17 @ 111 at LVD) thinks it should go well into the 11s. I guess we see this weekend.

turns out the motor that i was told was in the car. which was ported with 1.7 rockers an E cam and ported intake was a stock motor but was running -14* of timing. when i had looked at it before it looked like it had said 20* which i knew wasnt right. (that will teach me to check timing light in complete sunlight)
anyway im just gunna keep this motor how it is now till i can build another motor. im gunna be to busy getting my buddys race car ready for the last few races this year to mess with mine...
on a plus side we just threw some stanthuffs struts on his car so i got his old QA1's with springs for my car.
I never trust someone who says "ported heads" but can't prove it with reciepts. I had one friend who every car he purchased had "ported heads". Needless to say I'm sure not a single one did. Why would you have the stock heads on a 305 TBI ported? LOL.
Josh, next weekend, I might or might not have plans yet. As of last week I did, as of this week it changed. Probably going to change back!
oh well i guess... im starting the new motor soon... should be good for a high ten or so on the bottle. gotta figure out if i wanna go with a tko or a C4 and carbed or fool injection
