So Ive done a little modding on my 03 Mach 1 5 spd. as you can see from my sig. The car is pretty fast, but how fast. In the 6 months I have owned it, not too many people have tried to run with me yet. And I dont go out looking for races, but I really am anxious to see how fast it really is up against other cars. How will I stack up against the following vehicles? And I am referring to basically stock, to lightly modded cars. STI's, Evo's, LS1 & LT1 F-bodys, C5 vette's, 05-07 GT's, 99-01 Cobra's, turbo Supra's, 350z & G35's, SRT Hemi's, ETC... I drive my car hard, and I think I got my car down pretty good, but like I said knowone has tried to step up yet. I know I obliterated some Integra last night that tried to run me. He came up to me at the light and said " I know u got a stang, but I got heat bro" When we got on the highway he tried to run, and I let him get about three cars ahead of me. Then I downshifted to 3rd and walked on him till about 120 and then let off when he was many cars back. I then let him zoom past me like an idiot tryin to prove his little 1.8 liter was fast.

And another question. With the mods listed in my sig, what kind of RWHP should I be expecting when I go dyno it soon. So far the only engine mods are, MRT catted h pipe, Magnaflow catback, and an 85mm c&l mass air kit with the trueflow inlet pipe. I know its not much in the go fast department, but Im hoping to be at around 285-295??

Doubt what??? Am I aiming to high?? My car is supposed to have 305 at the crank, stock. The C&L kit supposedly gives you a 14-17 hp boost at the wheels, and I figure the exhaust has got to be worth at least 5 rwhp? I have never dyno'd any of my stangs so I dont know?

So stock turbo supras are that fast?? I dont see many of those around here anyway, but I do see tons of LS1 cars. I could keep up with a C5? Arent those things a little lighter than my car, plus I thought they were pushing about 325 hp.

Take it to the drag strip if you really want to see what you and the car can do...it's always cool to have that time slip.

You can have big numbers at the dyno, but if you can't put it to the ground, your gonna get beat:D

My automatic Mach was running 14.0 to 14.1s bone stock and on a crappy, unprepped, going 14 feet uphill track here in Germany....finally after three years and a few mods I got it down to 12.8 on the same track.

I can't wait to get back to the States and see what it will do on a real track

Thanks for the info. I dont have much problem getting it to the ground with the few suspension and tire mods I have done, and my car is a 5 spd not an auto. I just wanted to see the dyno numbers. I really do need to take it to a the track soon. Beleive it or not, I have never ran any of my stangs at the track. It would be nice to get a mid 13 second time slip though for starters. Like I said I do alot of agressive street driving.

Hey, that's a nice ride that you have. I figure with your mods, your rwhp might be arround 275 or 280 in favorable conditions. Meaning cool air temperature and a non heat-soaked engine.
As far as LS1's go, be careful. If they get the jump on you at the wrong time and wrong speed, they will probably edge away from you in the end. If you race one from a light and the person doesn't know how to drive, you might get away from them. They have incredible top-end power.
I have a 2001 GT with a V2 Vortech (9lbs.) and the Bassani X-pipe with Magnaflow cat-back. The car was never dyno-tuned and I figure about 320 rwhp. I've run some LS1's and I beat them. However, it was not easy.

Thanx...Well if you have a blower, and u say it wasnt easy to beat an ls1, I dont think I stand a chance. I thought the ls1 f-bodys only had about 320 horses. And thats not rwhp. Im not too far from that. maybe 10 or so hp. I just looked up the Camaro specs and the SS was rated at 325 hp, & 350 ft lbs. of torque. 310 & 340 for the Z28 model. I guess all that torque makes all the difference.

I cant wait till I can afford to get a blower. I was looking into procharger, but Im not sure yet. I like that u dont have to tap into your oil pan with the procharger. I think it will put me up to about the 450 rwhp range at the recommended boost.
