how fast?

i am currently running a 15.10 @92 in my heavy a$$ vert gt AODE. with a stall converter, cobra intake, x-pipe, what do you think i would be running and how fast?

man you should be in high 14's.are you at sea level? 15's are not good for a 5.0 that's like v6 class

What was your 60' on those runs? Low 15's is about right for a (mostly) stock AOD vert. An intake should be good for a few tenths, and maybe 3 mph. The stall converter I hear (not sure, 5spd guy myself) is good for nearly half a second. Not to sure about that though. The x-pipe is usually good for two tenths or so and maybe 1 mph. So all that might put you around 14.3 - 14.5 @ 95 - 97 mph or so.

Oh and I hope you are not talking about 94-98 v6's, those things are lucky to run 16's. 15's are on par for a lot of stock 5.0's.

You are running right where you should be for your mods. Once you add the parts you listed then mid-low 14's should be doable.

Sure, we CAN do better, but it takes some money. Honestly, there isn't much you can do to practice for running an automatic car at a drag strip. About any bonehead could pin the accelerator to the floor for 15 seconds. And with my auto, any decent track provides plenty of traction as first gear in the 94-95 AOD-E wasn't geared as low as the 96+'s, so saying that his driving isn't up to par is BS. Honestly, for no more than you have done to your car performance wise, I would be happy with it turning 15.1. A guy on another thread said he gained .5 on a 3.27 to 4.10 gear swap. That is probably going to be the biggest, most cost effective gain for your auto.

For his weight and AODE his times are pretty good. Next thing you should think about is stall and gears. Then I would start looking for an intake. The cobra can be a nice intake. Yes there are better out there. Depends on how much money you got.

The cobra is a real nice intake IMHO. I got mine (95) ported with VERY little miles on it for $200. With the intake and 70mm throttle body I went from a 14.89 @ 95.27mph to a 14.17 @ 98.99mph. You can't tell me that's not a good intake.

I got my cobra intake for $200 as well. I havent been to the track alot with it yet. I did pick up 3-4 mph.
