I really think this comes down to the fact that more guys drag race than road race. Simple as that. By default there's going to be more UPR equipped drag cars than there are MM equipped road race cars because there are more drag cars than road race cars.

Could be but if MM was so much better then upr as so many people claim the racers would use it. Most of the suspension stuff you see for a fox body at a real race is upr race craft an team z

Well... this has been fun but I think MFE is chomping at the bit to provide some REAL info about suspension. So without further adieu, I will return us to our regularly scheduled program.

I think we should leave the drama out of this. There is some very good information in here and I don't want anybody looking to make their car handle real good, have to sort through pages of BS to find some good info. I know I sure would hate to have to do that if I were looking to gain some knowledge.

How many people on this site road race compared to those who drag race? 20:1 Probably?
I'd be willing to bet a paycheck that a MM equipped car would molest a UPR equipped car on a road course. What exactly do you know about MM? You're obviously a UPR nutswinger but MM does lots for it's customers. I know they've pulled me out of the fire a few times and bent over backwards to make sure I was taken care of, UPR however has **** me over more times then i'd like to admit. Good products or not it's a ty company.

first im far from a nut swinger for ANYONE!

a friend of our we race with was having some issues with his suspension which i believe to be caused by the guy who installed it no fault of UPR's sent him everything new for his rear to fix his issue.
my personal car bottomed out and bent a caster camber plate. no fault of UPR's not only replaced them but sent me the upgraded aluminum ones free. i have persoanly talked wish the guys there about suspension issues we have with the race car keeping the nose down and we run ZERO UPR parts on the race car. ive also talked with dave at Team Z about it both hae given advise that has worked. ive seen more UPR car put there car up on the bumper and smash the front end down and not mess anything up then i can count. i see more UPR parts on mustangs at a race then MM by a long shot!

your right a MM car would beat up on a UPR car... but bring that MM to the drag strip and see what happens.

Apples to oranges here guys. Each has their place is their respective racing sanctions. UPR, Team Z and Racecraft are all geared toward lightweight setups that perform in a straight line. Their k-members are bare bones, but work great for a drag setup. On the flip side, an MM k-member weighs more but is more stout to handle the abuse of road racing. It creates an extra reinforcement point for the front end of the car and reduces chassis deflection for better handling. Most drag racers are not going to spend the extra money on MM stuff when all it does to them is add weight.

MM car to a drag strip? Equipped with MM parts FOR drag racing?

I would still think that the car setup (by the same person with no dog in the hunt) using MM parts would have the advantage.

Why do you keep mentioning drag racing? I thought the point of this thread was to make a fox handle, something that UPR(QA1) Team Z etc will NEVER do. Tell me parts aren't well designed when those same parts do EXCEPTIONALLY well at the other end as well. There"s a thread over on the corral of guys with full on road course suspension that are in the 10's with less then 500hp. Those same cars can go out and pull a 1.0g+ on the road course.
BTW there's TONS of negative stuff about UPR, why is it so hard to find similar about MM? I know UPR has **** me over a few times and I ended up spending double to get the situation squared away by another company. I PERSONALLY know lots of people who were **** over by them as well. Maybe it's because we're on the left coast and we don't count.
