how hard is it to install a pinion seal

Last time I got my oil change at my friends shop he told me that there was fluid all around my rearend, mufflers and pipes. Its not comming from the pumpkin, its comming from right before it where the driveshaft connects. Anyway I heard it could be my pinion seal, my question is how hard is it to replace, if its somewhat easy im goin to try to replace it myself.

Not hard to do if you have an impact gun, The only problem is you need to no the preload of the pinion and make sure that you set it alittle tighter. To do it right you need a in-lbs torqe dial.

Get some gears installed while you have it apart. I had the same problem, but it was fixed under warentee.
