i've decided to get BBK 1-5/8" long tube headers and have a custom h-pipe built for my car....all in all it should be around $400 for the headers and the h-pipe.....i have never installed long tube headers....i have helped a friend take some off a fox body about 4 yrs ago.....i know i'm gonna have to undo my power steering bracket/ column(?) in the engine bay....but will i need to loosen up my motor mounts and jack up the motor and slide the headers in from under the car??? any help would be benificial.....

you shouldn't have to unbolt your power steering. just unbolt both motormounts and raise the engin to get clearance. also i had to take off the starter as well. not to bad of an install though.

I too have those awaiting install...

It's a pain in the back side. Headers always suck to install IMO. I recommend you soak everything in liquid wrench the night before you go to work and count on some busted knuckles. Make sure you have universal joints. The passenger side header goes in from the bottom, and raising the engine is a good idea.

Ya might as well change spark plugs while you are in there. If you're by yourself it will take a full day. An extra pair of hands would be huge.

Its at least a 6 pack's worth of work.
