How hard is it to learn with the Tweecer R/T

I did a few searches on tuning with the tweecer and it all looks like some code or foreign language to me. My cars been running like ass lately and Razors Edge hasnt been coming through for me. Is this one of those things where once you try its easy? Like the supercharger/headgasket install and everything, that was scary before I started but now that I tried I could probably do it in half a day.

Hey Kevin!
Depends on what youre trying to do.

If you want to control spark tables, fuel curves, etc, it will take awhile. You CAN tho use a BASIC copied tune from someone and try that, and use the TwEECer for idling, fan settings, etc.

Bottom line is that you CAN get some use out of it while youre learning the hard stuff. You dont have to "master" it to be able to begin using it.

What's the issue that Razor's Edge Cant help?

Ive been to Razors Edge 5 times now and my car still runs like ass. After the 1rst time I went there I blew a headgasket. Now im leaking coolant again but im not sure if its a HG yet or not, I need to get a leakdown tester. My A/f isnt to great and my power curve is like a heart rate moniter after runnign a marathon. Ive asked them 3 times last week to fax my my last dyno sheets but they havent yet. Last time I went I was there for 7 hours and we only got like 4 runs in. My car stalls after everytime I get on it and at stoplights sometime and my idle is crazy. I was going to go to Thunder but I figured if I can do it myself, it will save money for later mods.

I would agree with RC about the learn as you go thing. Some of the stuff is not too hard to pick up and if you are unsure you make changes that are small and verify those changes with dataloggs.

If you are blown then your combo will not be too forgiving if you do something like get confused with fuel values and go lean when you thought you would be going richer.

BTW......Us na guys are not too fond of making mistakes like that as well!

Tweecing for drivability requires more knowledge than max power has been what I have found.

i have learned most of the basic stuff over about a 2 month period (im lazy and hate reading) but it really wasnt hard. now once you get into these tables and whatnot, that is where you will need to do a bunch of research about what one number will do to you entire engine. its scary sometimes and thats why i dont want to mess too much with it but soemtimes i want to just have someone do it for me.
