I was just wondering if it is any more difficult than putting in a new 2V block. Of course I'd buy the supporting hardware for the new block, but is it just a direct swap and tune?
Yes it's possible as long as you realize how much work, effort and money this is going to be. Both heads, 4 cams, chains and sprockets, headers, new x/h pipe, intake, cooling system, computer change, all sensors, air intake and then mass air system. Still interested? Everything will bolt right on and depending on what year heads you get, you could have from 8.5:1 compression to 10.5:1. For higher compression, go with the '99-'01 head and the '01 intake to match. These are for a naturally aspirated combo and make good power, even in unported form. Patriot has these with full porting now and I say go for it.
