How is the best way to do this?

I am wanting to upgrade the seats in my car to leather, right now they are just cloth. How should I go about doing this? Here are the possiblies as I see them:

1. Go to Ford, buy a set from them.
2. Try to find a wrecked Mustang in a junk yard that will sell them.
3. Get a complete set off of eBay from reputable seller.
4. Get just the seat covers off of eBay or other online store.
4a. Try changing the seat covers myself or pay an upholstery place to do it.

Has anyone done any of the above or know of another/better way to do this?

find a junk one. A lot will sel you the whole interior for not a whole lot. I did a friend's car upgrade from cloth to leather, and the yard I went to only charged $100 or !$150. YOu might pay more for Mustang seats, but still it would be the easiest and cheapest. changing the seats is a cake walk if you just swap them.

you just have to hope...

that the junkyard dog hasn't pi&&ed all over them... :rlaugh:

lol

Go to Ford and get a quote, then when you stop laughing, come back home and hop on Corral classifieds, Stangnet Trader, or ebay, and find a nicely priced set. Check the local auto trader/seller magazines, they have parts listed in the back. You can find all sorts of stuff at usually decent prices - and the best part is they're LOCAL so you can skip the expensive shipping charges. To get a set of non-power seats shipped from CA to MA, cross country, cost me $150 :notnice:
