How long did it take you to become bored with your cars umph..?

Kinda funny, when you consider all the time and effort I have in and on the same day of my dyno in comes an 02 SS LS1...little exhaust and pullies, very limited knowledge of his own car and BAM he beats me by 5HP and a touch of torque...little frustrating.

Yea - but you're comparing a late 80's/early 90's car to a 2002. Camaros and Firebirds were dog slow back when our cars were produced.

Anytime i get bored with my car i drive my dads 1988
F-150 custom....then i realize how much faster mine his. Now he has a 88 gt so i have some competition

True but I'm comparing my current 2005 built engine smothered in todays fairly expensive 'hot' performance parts to a basically stock mass produced chevy. The LS1 cars trump a good majority of modded fox bodies in hp right off the dealer floor without the H/C/I issues and WITH a dealer warranty.

I think I'd like to have the bottle mounted on the passenger side rear floor so I can just reach over, turn the valve and pull an extra 50/75 or so hp right out of the air...nice insurance incase my ego gets me into a bind

Get a remote bottle opener, i had a kit with a remote bottle opener and a 3 swich panel, one for opener, one for purge and one for arm/engage. until I found out it was a stolen kit so I gave it back. Dangit!!!

I'm not sure when it happened but i'm THERE. My car isn't really really slow but it's definately not fast enough. It was tolerable driving my low 14 second/mostly stock 5.0, but after i drove my buddy's 347/high 12 second car it really got to the point where i'm totally bored with it's performance. Factor in that even though i've got a few go fast goodies i still get smoked by other typical performance cars (2 SHO's and ::gasp:: a Civic, but all were hiway and my car has NO top end with 4.10 gears) and well, i need some heads and a cam soon

about a week. i think its slow, until my passenger goes quiet and eyes get bigger. no big deal for me. i have to be going like 60 on a highway and lay into it in 3rd and watch the mph climb to realize its fast. i need gears. to hell with 2.73's

I would not put a zex kit on anything I own, theres better options out there.

Usually when I get bored with something it gets sold within the month.

Zex has a kit I'm looking at for about $500- $600 that is adjustable from 50-150 and works off of the TPS

It has it's own computer it runs from and no adjusting is neccessary

Hey now the 350 TPI Camaro's/TA's of the late 80's/early 90's weren't bad. They could give a stock 5.0 a good run. They have 230hp/350lbs torque.

Chevy really stepped it up in 1994 when they brought out the LT1 maf cars with 6 speeds.

Then the LS1's>modular 4.6's IMO.

I'm not a ford or chevy guy so I don't wanna hear someone calling me a chevy lover. Although I do own a chevy...
