Yesterday I helped a buddy put some lowering springs on his '98 Cobra. When we were done it looked exactly the same. It handled better, but it didnt really lower it. When i did my lowering springs I got used ones so they had already done whatever settling they needed to do.

What should the drop have been (in inches)?

Were the LCA's at loaded-ride-height before the fasteners were tightened (I know you know to do this, but if someone else got overzealous while wrenching..........)?

All that we really had to undo was the strut bar and the struts. Maybe the strut bar didn't get tight enough? Ill check back with him tomorrow and see how its doing.

Gotcha. You did the springs the same way you did them in your car. :nice: The LCA to K-member bolts should not have been messed with them (I do my suspension stuff a little bit differently).

If it's felt that the LCA bushings are binding up a bit, Loosening the bolts, settling the suspension and retorquing the bolts to spec can be worth trying.

Good luck.
