i am looking to get a NOVI 2000 on my car and i was wondering when does the boost start coming in. i rode in a car with an S Trim and it seemed like the boost didnt come in until like 4000rpm. if i'm gonna spend $4500 in the novi i want the boost to come in quickly at least by 3500rpm.

Superchargers do not spool. Centrifugals are RPM based, PSI is determined on how well the engine flows and how fast the blade spins.

feeling boost?? You feel it when you go WOT. You mean when you will see max PSI? Its really dependent on the engine and setup. That is why most people run gears with a centrifugal blower. The lack of low end and massive top end allow them to really get going faster.

well i'm looking at $4500 for the novi 2000 or $5000 for the KB plus the BAP and 90mm MAF. what would be the better setup?? what is the max power the 1.7 can put down on a built motor? i've heard somewhere around 500RWHP

it all depends on what size pulley you use. i have a 3.20" on my S-trim and i start seeing boost around 2500rpm any time i hit the gas the boost gauge shows almost no vacuum.

I see boost at about 3000 RPM on my Novi. But if I mash the gas to the floor that said boost comes on faster then I can shift.

An NOVI2000 is better than an S trim. It pushes a ton more CFM but it takes longer to start making boost. The KB is a different animal. It will not work as well although they do make full boost at less than 2000rpm.
