How long will new x-pipe smell?

Hey everybody, I just installed a new Magnaflow x-pipe (catted) on Saturday and I've driven about 50 miles with it so far. How long will it take for the cats to break in and stop from smelling? It doesn't seem to be an exhaust leak, since I replaced the factory driver side studs and the passenger side gasket. It just seems like the car stinks a little after a good run and after initial start up. Just wondering if it would get better or if it was part of the deal with only two cats. Thanks!

After a couple of good "break-in" driving days the smell will disappear. I have the same X-pipes and was worried as well, but smell left and I love them now! And by the way, after a week or two make sure u get back under the car and re-tighten all the nuts and bolts. You'll be suprised how much they loosened up from the vibrations and settling into place.

My Magnaflow pipe smelled for about a week. But I also drove A LOT of miles that first week since I loved the sound

When I put my Bassani off road pipe on I noticed around town people were not following as closely because of smell of the exhaust. Smelled for a few days then it went away.

I don't put a lot of miles on my car, so mine smelled for about 2-3 weeks.

Funny, I never even remembered the smell issue until now.

Yeah, plus I did my exhaust in two steps. First the catback, then the midpipe a week or two later. My exhaust was stinky for a while.
