How loud is your transmission?

Also, on an unrelated topic, I hit the rev limiter in first this morning and was curious if these ecu's pull timing or fuel when you redline. Also, do any aftermarket chips raise the redline on the engine? What's a safety margin? I noticed that it's set at a low 5300rpm and the gearbox seems too tight for such a low rpm....

If it's a T-5, I'm sure the noises are normal, lol. Overall, I'm impressed with this shifter's feel. It's much more sturdy than anything in my older 5.0's. The throws are short and kinda notchy, I pulled the boot down and it looks stock.

by removing the limiter you are doign a very STUPID thing, sorry but its true, i have seen idiots who do it and mess up their valve train or worse... and tehy expect ford to fix it lol well ford 99% of the time finds out its not their fault and its due to a alteration, last time i seen it the guy got sued by ford for trying to get them to fix his screw up.

you can remove teh speed limiter with out touching the rpm limiter which is a better idea, the only reason to ever mess with it is if you actualy make power above 5500 or if you move it up a tad so that you can run an MSD box and cut spark instead of fuel if you run a blower or nitrous.

the t-4, t-45 is noisy is it comming from the shifter tunnel ? you can put another layer of insulation around it and it may stop it from being noticable.
