52,000 here. Only problem I've had with mine was a rear axle seal. The dealer replaced 3 before he realized the axle was bad (less than 1000 miles). New axle solved the problem.

99 gt auto convertible 140,000 miles

rebuilt transmission at 89k
replaced motor for convertible top at 20k, under warranty
lots of rattles, but that's to be expected with a vert

I auto x it regularly and half the time that I've owned it I lived on a farm, so it got a lot of abuse just going down my driveway.

99 with 53k here no major problems had a bad pulley when I bought it but got it fixed at the dealership while under it's 30 day warranty. It has a idle problem now it acts like it wants to die when I put the clutch in when coming to a stop. Probably a bad IAC or I'm just in need of a good tune. Other than that I've got over 20 passes at the track and I like to bang gears around town sometimes.

If I drive +30 miles on my way home today, and I know I will - I'll be at 100K miles on my 2000. I blew up my clutch at 35K miles, by missing 3rd gear at redline, and it was actually warrantied. They went ahead and rebuilt my tranny while they were at it. I didn't tell them I missed a gear lol. One battery, on my second set of Ford brake pads, lot of tires later, and one $30. IAC. Still runs like bran new w/ tons of more power than stock. I drive it hard but sensibly. I've taken probably about 30 1/4 mile passes too. It's really been an awesome car. Hell I'm about to bump it upto ~430 RWHP in a week or two. I'll be getting it rebuilt w/ forged internals in less than a year though. Can't complain one bit @ 100K.

I've only got 27k on mine so far. I had one issue with my shift fork. It was in the group of mustangs with defective shift forks. Other than that i've been extremely pleased. I dont think im going to have problems with this car anytime soon.

You'll be pleased with your purchases. But always remember take the care to have it checked out and look it over top to bottom before buying to make sure it has been treated right and maintained.

hey... when you had to replace your idler pulley, was it making a really loud, obnoxious, chirping noise at idle that went away when you revved your engine? I think I have the same problem in my escort.

78k extremely driven miles on mine. I couldn't even count how many bottles went through the stock block. I had a fuel pump go out prematurely and my battery lasted over 70k miles.

00GT with 68000. Only thing I've replaced is tires and brakes. I put slotted rotors on but that was my choice.

Well I bought mine from a older gentleman at a little over 43000 miles he said he hasent had any problems and had used mobile synthetic, I still went and got it checked out and found that the clutch was at 50% worn and that he still had the original tires I was sold on it. Now at about 53000 I continue to use synthetic and have no problems but I now after some track attendance and what not I now need to to replace some 6 month bald as can be nittos and need a new clutch.
So mostly even with a little spirited driving, with regular oil changes and what not, mustangs only wear what is designed to.
48000 replaced ac clutch
and am about to repalce brakes and belts
