Firemanz said:Mine takes about 53/4-6 qts. I check my oil weekly and it's right in between full and low.
For my 2001, the manual says 5 (including filter).
I know it takes 5, I've been through this with Jiffy Boob.
The oil change man put 7 qts in without me knowing.
The reason I found that out that it was overfilled was because
I was burning oil through my exhaust. I re-check the dipstick
and it was WAY past the full mark. Then I look at the bill and he
charged for 2 extra qts.The 4.6 block is the same, so
could it be that some model Mustangs have the F-150 oil pan?![]()
