Put me down for one 83 in a 70. Is it my fault the car rides so smooth & quite I didn't know I was speeding. Well yes I guess I could have looked a the speedometer but I was busy with my Shaker 1000.
The new stang rides so well and so quiet that I ALWAYS find myself about 10 or 15 over the limit. I was just cruising along on the interstate over turkey weekend and saw that I was haulin at 80 in a 70. Oops. The cruise control is now my favorite friend. And when you stomp on it at 70 you'll be doing 90 before you realize it. That would be a baaaadddd ticket. Lucklily no tickets yet. Lots of cops stare at me in my Torch red GT. I just smile as I cruise by doing the speed limit.
BTW - A 350 dollar Escort passport can pay for itself. It's awsome. I have counted two attempts to clock me, which I can safely assume would have cost me 150-200 bucks each, so I have already paid for the thing!!!
Better not to speed. Unless some ricer pulls up beside you. Or a GTO for that matter. Then it is mandatory.
haven't got hit by the cops for a speeding ticket ever. Of course, knowing the areas they like to frequent and behaving in unknown areas doesn't hurt either. 83 in a 70? that's like the average speed around hear anyhow on the highway. A cop usually doesn't pull people over until they're hitting 90 and even then it's debatable. I love Connecticut fuzz sometimes.
I know don't have an 05GT but I did get a ticket in my goat last month. Lets just say that I have a mandatory court appearance for this one and it will cost me plenty if I can't fight it and win
Also, about the radar detectors. Worth the $$$ for sure. I have the Valentine 1 and it has saved my butt many times and has paid for itself! Since this ticket was not for speeding it really didn't matter if I had one or not!
My dad is a cop, but he hates giving people tickets for minor traffic violations because its just extra work for him. Although in the last few weeks he has called me a couple times to let me know that he saw a 05 GT when he was working! I'll bet he just follows them to check them out...
