How much boost can I run on a stock 98 cobra motor? I have the stock 8# pulley on now but I am making 10#'s of boost from my anderson racing powerpipe....I dont have the money right this minute for the aftercooler but want a little more power from the car....I also have upgraded my injectors to 36lbs and have the pro m mass air meter and taylor 10.5 wires and aftermarket plugs. I was thinking of getting the 3.12" pulley that is listed as making 10-12 lbs of boost (most people call it the 10# pulley) but do you think I will make 12lbs of boost with the powerpipe??? Also I am one day going to get the aftercooler and run the 2.87" pulley....has anyone safely ran the 2.87" pulley on a non inter/aftercooled setup and how much boost were you making......???? Let me know fellas, your advice and knowledge is greatly appreciated.

I'd leave what you have alone. Seriously. 14 lbs of non-intercooled boost on stock connecting rods is stupid. If you can't afford a $1500 aftercooler, you REALLY can't afford a rebuild.

Your pretty much maxed out right now, no more than 10pounds. By the way what are your A/F ratios?

I really dont believe I am maxed out Im pretty sure it will take the 12lbs of boost no problem....Ive seen one guy run 17lbs on non intercooled cobra (97) but I wanna hear from the guys who have 96-98 cobras and how much boost they run normally street/strip and how it is working for them. My A/F ratios Im not 100% sure all i know is my meter reads all the way to the green when I mash on the throttle so I know its not running lean....I plan on gettting a dyno tune this June when I bring my car out of the garage on my quest for 11's. Any more info is greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas...and girlies
