I have the regular ol H/C/I car and all the other junk like everyone and was trying to figure out what i wanted to do next. Would a tweecer help me THAT much that it would be worth getting over.. a set of AFR's? i will get one big ticket item this summer from work.. tweecer or AFR 165's 58cc..

h/c/i can definetly go beyond the means that the stock computer can handle. a custom tune will definetly help... im guesstimate ~10-20hp can be found with a good tune. If you get a tweecer it can hurt performance. I personally have the tweecer RT and there are tons of adjustments you need to make to get it just right... and without a wideband o2 sensor you're kinda hit and miss and just going off of your SOTP meter. (seat of the pants)

It would also be nice if you started to get into bigger injectors and needing to adjust the MAF, etc.

At some point here, I am thinkin it might be time for me to get one............

Good luck.

like ka0tyk said it pretty well...without a wideband and a dyno its hard to get that perfect tune. I would say the saftey and the ability to change every function you can think of are the real advantages of the tweecer.

The good thing about a tweecer is that it helps more than just WOT, you can tune any part throttle/idle problems out as well. No more surging idle, no more bucking and no more burning eyeballs from the exhaust.

You can see if there's any local shops that can dyno tune using your tweecer, that way you can at least have your WOT down which will leave you perfect your part throttle. BTW, a laptop is not required, but HIGHLY recommended. You'll need one with a USB connection.

I just had to interject with something. I was talking to my old man the other day who lets just say is a pimp with all things mechanical. I said I got a wideband O2 and he basically I got the Back in my day we walked up hill both ways in the snow bit. But there is some truth in what he is talking about he runs a blown big block with nitrous and two carbs never used a wideband in his life so how much do we need one just because we have efi. I am still goin to use one though. And as far as a dyno though I use a Gtech pro and a country road more fun anyway and definitley cheaper. The point is like einstein said "creativity is more important than inteligence" if you can throw a bunch of money at a problem do it but you prolly wouldn't be on this site!

sorry feeling a lil frustrated lol

That's the reason I ordered mine.

I did get the heads before the tweecer.

But I will wait for boost until I am very comfortable with the tweecer.

I have been finding that suitable used laptops can be found for $200 -$300.

I get what you're saying and I get where your dad is comeing from too however... (comma)...

Your Dad's day didn't have 8 second street cars either. Pretty much anything under 12 sec was lightning fast and anything under 10 sec was reserved for top fuel funny dragsters. hehe

I'm a bit old school myself and have a tendancy to tune by mechanical means. Even I'm becoming a convert. EGT, screw drivers, and power valves, have given way to a laptop and TwEECer in my driveway.

I would think so, but double check your computer code on this application chart...
