I guess we all have to be so specific these days due to the misunderstanding of individuals who for some reason, can't or don't understand when someone in a "specific" forum mentions what their profession was without actually saying it, so, yes I did work in the automotive/heavy equipment industry. Not to be confused with the City of Industry.

In my case, I don't think I recognize you.

She said she was a chick. That's good enough.

As long as you're happy with it.

Yeah, this is "cold, dead, fingers" territory!

The last time someone else did my oil was ford dealers when my '02 E150 was still under warranty, and I needed the documentation.

$25-30 for a 5 quart mobile one (well, one and a half of those for my Northstar Cadillacs!), something like $10 for the extended mobile 1 filter, and a walk to the refrigerator for beer.

And I had to replace the plug on the e150 as it couldn't seal properly after others had tightened it!

My father took his '83 cougar in to the tire place to have them rotated. He warned them to stop, but they shouted they new what they were doing, and attached the air wrenches.

To the faux lug nuts on the center cap . . .

I have never paid for someone to do an oil change in over 40 years.
I did pay for an alignment once.

Same, although my wife’s new Honda has free oil changes for 2 years so it pains me to sit around and wait for someone to do what I could bang out quicker than the driver over.

I do schedule it during work hours however, so I’m on the clock at least.

I've paid for oil changes before. Particularly, when I was working full-time.

I have to look the guy in the eye each-and-every-time, and say to him in a low, calm voice:

"No Dugga Dugga guns on my engine or oil pan. COPY??? You [tell] them while I stand here."

This in on the V tho. Too easy to change the oil in the Stang.
