for the v6 to take the little civics and gti's etc.. running around with there 2800ish pound body and 200 hp V4's...

pretti much the same amount of hp...but the stang weighs around 600 pounds more....

so wacha think... what does a v6 mustang driver gotta do...to take those little buggers lol..
 
yeah sorri i meant inline my bad....

and yeah without a doubt more torque..but idk...i heard many instances where they have beaten the stang.. guess ur right.. maybe those stang drivers just sucked realli bad... lol
 
the great carroll shelby once said "Horsepower sells cars. Torque wins races." :)

more percisely,,, getting that torque to the pavement is what wins races.

And a stock V6 Mustang, right out of the box, has a few flaws that prevent that.

Starting with the notorious drive by wire thottle lag, the restricted intake air flow and the open rear differential (to name just a few).

luckily these all have easy solutions.
