How much for spring install????

I just got the eibach pro kit and the first quote on istall was 500 bucks. that sounds like a crapload but then again i only know people who lowered solid axle cars so i dunno.

any input would be great.

Should be about an hour worth of labor, if even that. I can be done in about 30 minutes. I would'nt pay more than one hour. Caster camber plates, 30-45 minutes. No more than 140.00 combined. Just me.

I paid $200 for my springs and bushings install (diff bushings). You'll probably pay more than that though.

thanks guys, but they told me 4-5hours of labor. or are they just tryin to rip me off? i would get some guys together to do it but they are all afraid of suspension cause they know nothing about it.

Took me and a friend 4 hours to do my car...taking our sweet time and using all hand tools. First time.

A friend of mine got a quote to do his GT convertable...about $450 for springs, install, and alignment. Three of us ended up doing his car in about 2.5 hours. Again, using nothing but hand tools. Cost, $195 for springs.

Just another guy chiming in to do it yourself. Borrow the spring compressor from Autozone and get a buddy. I did my Eibach set on my 01 vert by myself (you really should have 2 guys) in 4 to 5 hours and I'm no mechanic. Follow the above instruction link closely taking your time and it should be easy.

dont pay more than 250, i paid 500 because at the time i was only 16 and installing springs seemed like the rocket science.

Having done both on my car hands down GT is way easier. Unbolt the quad shock and lower shock bolt, lower a-arm, yank out spring. When I get new LCAs then the quads go bye and it's just 1 bolt.

On the IRS install it can be a PITA. I found it easier to lower the IRS vs. using a spring compressor. The first time I did it it took me about 8 hours by myself, half of that was spent trying to get the IRS back into alignment with the mounting holes. After that I got to where I could do it in a few hours.

Do it yourself! 2 Jacks and a spring compressor. Can do all 4 in an hour. The IRS isn't all that bad either. But if you wanna watch, don't pay more than an hour. I shopped around before I did um myself and most places wanted to charge $400+. It's easy money for them.
