Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and I was wondering how much HP an explorer intake, E-303 cam, edelbrock Performer RPM heads with 1.6 roller rockers, under drive pulleys, amd BBK shorty headers should make? All input is appreciated, Thanks in advance.

without a tune, 250rwhp. Tuned probably 290rwhp.

must be some kind of magic tune to pull 40 hp out of it. I'd guess between 250-280 at the tires. Chassis dyno's are not all created equal

You never know with fuel pressure, timing. It could be running super rich...

I picked up 27rwhp with a tune, and the car was "tuned" two years before.

I read a post a day or so ago that a member was getting 208/270 with the same cam and intake, but I believe he was running P heads and 1.7 rollers. The rest was pretty much identical.

The board concensus was that the numbers were about right.
He was worried they were low.

I just found this in the 'talk' forum:
http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/838230-got-ol-girl-dynod-last-weekend.html

He's got the same stuff as well, and pulled 280/307 while getting it tuned.

So, I figure the 208/270 really is low. ??? I have never had a 5.0 dyno'd, so I just went with the flow.
I believe that post was in the SN95 forum.

Need more details. Throttle body, maf, injectors, trans, midpipe, exhaust, fuel pump? With the right supporting mods u should be looking at around 300rwhp through a manual trans

BBK 65 mm throttle body, 90mm MAF I believe calibrated for 42 pound injectors, green top injectors, t-5 WC tranny, no a/c, flowmaster american thunder back from the headers, not sure of the h pipe and a holly 190 lph fuel pump and a vortech v1 s trim at 10 psi.

Yea, I was just wondering how much hp it would make with/without the Vortech. frankly I'm a bit disappointed with 275 considering how much money and time it cost just to get there, I figured I'd be at least 300. But thanks for all the input guys

Dont get stuck on chassis dyno numbers. If you went to three different dynos on the same day there is a good chance you would get 3 different results. Its more of a safe tool to figure out what the car is or isnt doing well

Yeah I agree they vary but he should be in the 350+ range with a blower..I'm making 275hp at the wheels with a gt40p setup with a couple bolt ons.. Somthing isn't right..

Oh, yea I know I'd be in the 300's with the blower, I'm just disappointed that I put a lot of time money and work into the motor just to get 50 extra hp from stock without it. I'd be content with 400-450 to the wheels

Your really about 75-100 more hp than stock.. 225hp *10%or 15% drivetrain loss puts you at 200 hp or less at the wheels.. So that's not to bad.. I thought you had 275 with the blower..that would have been pretty bad.

You really should be close to the 300rwhp without the blower.
