How much power and I getting by this setup (regarding exhaust)

And your supposed to know everything??? What your saying is the :bs: . I have read a dyno comparison of a stock 03 GT I believe it was, and they first swapped the stock catted H with a SLP catted X...they gained 10 +/- 1 peak to peak and up to 15 in other areas of the powerband...next they added a SLP catback to that and gained another 9HP for a total peak to peak of 19.XX RWHP. I believe they said they took 3 runs with each mod and took the highes of each to compare evenly.Could have been the averages of 3 runs on each mod...but either way its a true gain. Remember the factory NEVER sets up a car perfectly, especially on a $25K car...there is always room for improvement.Heads/cams wont help you enough to tell a difference in how much power a mod gives you, the results of power difference added by an exhaust to a stock 4.6 as compared to a head/cam 4.6 would be pretty small...probably that 2-3 HP and since "You wouldnt even feel it" it doesnt even matter. BTW if that 2.5 ich exhaust is mandrel (sp) bent, then I would say you gained around 8-10 RWHP...dont know how much the 2.5 inch pipe helped on the mid pipe...and I believe you have the stock cats right? Should have went with an aftermarket X, would get you real gains, as I have stated above.
Talk is cheap pal. You show me dyno results of 19+rwhp from just an exhaust upgrade on a bone stock GT and I'll kiss your feet! How do you explain all of the dyno runs that actually show a loss in horsepower from exhaust upgrades? Truth be told, the factory exhaust isn't that huge of a restriction on a stock car. Some gains can be obtained by swapping out the mid-pipe and cat-back, but they're gonna be minimal without opening things up on the other end. If you think he's gained any real horsepower by just swapping out his flow tubes, mufflers and tailpipes, I've got some swamp land in Florida I'll let you take off of my hands at a fair price.

I don't know why you adamantly believe that mid pipe doesn't show any gains... I wish I had more time to search StangNet for more stock versus mid pipe dyno's but I need to finish a research paper. though I agree, 19rwhp from mid pipe and catback is rare if possible at all on a stock GT.

Here is a recent dyno, CLEARLY his car gained from mid pipe, mufflers, and predator tune. and please don't tell me the predator tune gave him all those gains. in fact, he doesn't even mention what the predator settings were.

thanks for the dyno! the numbers look good :)

in regards to exhaust power, I know I got some horsepower gains because my ass feels it. I was just trying to get an idea of how much my ass is really feeling :flag:

Yeah but he/she (whatever Seraphitia is?!?!) didn't get a midpipe - the flow tubes were replaced.
Seraphitia, why did you just get a full catback installed? I mean, it sounds like you esentially got one, just kinda pieced together...?

No worries, I realize that the addition of an O/R mid-pipe will make a few more ponies. Although I think 10rwhp on a stock car is a little excessive, I mainly just like throwing up the :bs: flag on you to be difficult. Even if I agree with you, I’ll rarely miss the opportunity to F**k with you. :D

But yeah, I'm sure the addition of the tuner helped optimize those numbers.

I thought I did get a mid-pipe? Then again, I don't know too much about exhaust systems.

All I know is that on my invoice that I got from the muffler shop, I got 2 midpipes and 2 tailpipes that are 2.5in.

As for a full-catback, I don't know why I didn't get it installed. I believe originally, I went to the muffler shop to get a full catback installed, but instead, I came out with 2 new midpipes and 2 new tailpipes. It's all good though, I got my increased truck sound :)

The mid-pipe is the part that has the cats on it. The pieces that bolt to the mid-pipe and run to the mufflers are the flow tubes. Which are the pieces you had replaced.

$200 isn't that bad I think. Especially since I already have the mufflers to use. I would just have to get the pipes bent up. I just have to make sure they'll keep the stock tailpipes.
