See now I believe that a stroker isnt great on a stock headed 2V modular for racing purposes, but again you really cant go wrong with it, the drivability that it offers is just too much to pass up. I am a skeptic about things that USUALLY work on SB fords, supposedly not working on the modular 4.6, but this time someone (you) actually gave a dyno to back up what they were saying. I have been owned LOL, good job. I dont think I will ever fully understand a modular like I know the SB Ford motors. But like I said, I am still getting a stroker LOL, gotta love that lowend torque. BTW my setup is going to be using HP's twin turbos at around 18PSI, that even with stock heads should make some serious power, but Ill probably go ahead and port the heads and get some cams...that stroker will also help my spool up, so in my case the stroker will still give me a better ET, and much more drivability than normal.

They are to different beasts period.Esp when it comes to head flow,cam specs etc.
I have a dyno over lay of two blown 4.6's one mine vs a car that has the same setup but a stroker.The dark blue is the stroker car.The stroker car was taken to 7200 rpms.
Is it just me or did the stroker make quite a bit more power? I think I see yours, there was a boost in the mid range with the stroker, then up top I didnt see any power fall off LOL. Your pretty darn close though. I was figuring if you give that stroker some more air it would take up the slack, if you read my post (2 up I think) you will see where I said that if you increase air flow it would take up the slack in the upper RPMs. That dyno seems VERY different than the N/A one, these mods are getting to my mind LOL. I expected maybe a little drop WAY up top from the 302 stroker due to the added stroke, but in N/A the difference was crazy, then with FI it goes completely opposite and actually accels in the mid range and makes a crazy amout way up top. At least you understand these engines.BTW what company made his stroker short block...VT?....haney motorsports? Just curious, thanks.
ah, i never thought about needing to have the block honed. how would i know if it needs the work done? I have been hearing that the storker kits are a waste, but what is an easier way to get the forged internal set? piece by piece? any suggestions you guys got let me know...I am all ears and eager to listen (and learn!)
