have a 69 MAch 1. i just got done building the motor. Here is what i have on a 351W it is a 69 or early 70 block

Holley 700 dp
1 inch four hole spacer
Edelbrock performer rpm intake
Roller rockers
dart pro 1 aluminum heads 190 CC's (out of the box)
edelbrock matched cam to the intake. lift is .498 on intake and.512 on exhut
10.1 compression
electric water pump drive
electric fan
headers long tubes
msd igintion (dist, 6al, coil ,wires)
March performance ratio crank pulley (underdrive)

My question is how much HP and TORQUE do you think this will have??

Also if you could guess a 1/4 time I have stage 3 c-4 and 3.89 gears Thanks

rough guesses

hp=420 @ 5500 rpm
tq=450 @ 4000 rpm

1/4 shoud be in the low 13/high 12 second bracket if the suspension is set up right.

i'm staying with my guess on the other site. 375-400hp mid 400's for tq. the cam is still your limiting factor.

This motor is in my 90 Mustang. It's a 69 351W bored .030 with 69 351 heads (untouched). It has Speed Pro Flat top piston. It has 9:5:1 compression. It also has a hydraulic flat tapped Crane cams duration @050 216in 228ex. valve lift .484in .512ex, 1.6 Scorpion roller rockers, MSD distributor. Moroso spark plug wires. Edelbrock RPM air gap intake (untouched) with Holley 750 Double Pumper. C6 trans 2800 stall converter. 8.8 rear with 3.73 gears and spool. Best pass is 12.61@106 on motor and 11.23@118 on a 175 shot Shifting at 5100rpm. On motor it consistently 12.80's@103-104 The car weights 3200lbs with me in it. I have no dyno numbers. Sometime this year I'm going to port the heads and intake sometime this year. I want a cam with in. and ex. duration in the 235 @.050 range and .526-.535 lift.

My boss built the motor and I put the car together. Pretty much set the time and that's it. I messed round with jets and Squirters and the air mixtures screw.

A large part of 1/4 times come from proper suspension components and weight/weight transfer. You could have a low 12 to mid 13 car..
