Quickie, around how much RWHP does the K&N FIPK add to a 01 Cobra. I know it all depends, but does anybody possibly have a dyno graph with the only mod being the K&N FIPK. Not the chart from K&N either, they exaggerate their numbers. Thanks

Would the K&N be more effective if I had exhaust on the car?

Yup. More air coming in, the faster you need to get it out. I always considered intake/exhaust mod as going hand in hand. Don't do one without the other. JMO.

2001 cobras love:
gears
cams
nitrous
blowers
forged motors
head work
ported intakes

typical boltons don't do **that** much for our cars, but you can get past 300 rwhp fairly easily with them.

I am looking for right around 300 RWHP/RWTQ. Can I get this with K&N, X-pipe, and Cat-back, or do I need to add other things like chip and pulleys? Don't really care for the chip and pulleys though (bad experience ). Also roughly how much do headers add (HP wise). It seems to me that they are not worth the hassle of installation.

Don't do headers. Cost vs. gains are not worth it. Unless you have unlimited funds. They do sound sweet though.

Look at my mods and my rwhp, that should be a good guide to go on. If those #'s seem high i have to tell you that my car dynoed at 286rwhp bone stock so the 30 rwhp gain is not to hard to believe. But i would not go with the BBK cai, its all looks get the JTL.

I started with the exhaust. I added JBA shorties, Bassani X-pipe, and Bassani Cat-back. I gained 15.9 rwhp.

Later I added WMS cold air kit, pulleys, computer chip. Total rwhp gain over stock was 32.5 rwhp. For an end total of 307.5 rwhp.

Aw yes, to be a member of the 300/30 Club. I want to so bad, we'll see how long it takes me to get there. I have a catted Bassani X and FRPP catback lined up. Then a JLT RAI, would these mods get me there?

my recipe for 301 rwhp/317 rwtq:
JLT True CAI
JBA Evol Exhaust
SCT Custom chip

pullies are a decent idea if you aren't going to put a blower on. getting your intake polished is also a good idea, but the cost is a bit more. mid pipes generally do well, as do long tube headers.

I already have the K&N FIPK, would it make that much difference in power to change it to JLT?

I doubt it. Save your money for some other mods.
