How much $ to install gears

I paid 250 to set up my gears/diff, weld the tubes and 9" ends on

i can understand having the tubes welded to the center section of your rearend, but what is the advantage of having 9 inch ends welded on?

$200-$400 bucks not including the gears, depending on what gets replaced. If you're gonna keep the car for a while, take it to someone that specializes in setting up these rearends, and follow their guidance on what needs replacing.

just noticed you were from mass, go to mike dez'z on rte 6 in seekonk, they do good work there and dez is an awesome guy...very experienced....he has done work on manny buginga's 7 second turbo car (if you follow nmra) so you can be sure you are getting quality work
