i was looking around at some of the other threads, namely the 03-04 cobras, and i saw something i wanted to ask about. how much torque did i lose by putting an off road x-pipe on my car, rather than the x with cats or the stock h-pipe? some seem to think they lost a lot of torque with an x over the h-pipe... no matter if it was catted. someone claimed as much of a 20rwhp/rwtrq gain by putting the h pipe back on their car. i personally noticed little to nothing in loss of power. and even if i did lose this torque would it matter when steeper gears are put on? but you gain top end hp with the off road, correct? i bought the bassani off road pipe because i didn't have the money they were asking for the catted pipe.

Torque might be down in the lower RPM range, but as you get up in the boost area, you should actually see a little increase in torque...however, the horsepower number will be one that benifits the most...if you went to a long tube header, it would be reversed...more torque gain vs HP..
