How much was this worth?

I just picked up a 1974 351W motor complete, not running with an attached C6 transmission. He said they both needed a rebuild, from external inspections they seemed fine (no visible cracks).

How much would that combo be worth, considering their non running condition?

Not a huge amount, maybe $200 if they were running.

Eh, I dropped $160 for both. Seemed logical since the last 1979 351W I looked at wasn't running and the guy wanted $400 for it.

Wanted to make sure I wasn't being ripped.
