Hey

so I was wondering how much would it cost to put a Stock 03 GT
into the 13's and \ or 12's

Also if you could say what mods should go with go with your price

lets say that I am an OK driver as I know a good drive can run 13's with them
my best time this year in Oct very crappy tires and head wind was 14.5 @95 MPH
Discusss

thanks

1. 4.10's about 500 total (gears, fluids, install)
2. P&P plenum about 30bucks worth of dremel bits
3. Mt Et streets anywhere from 150 (used on rims) to 400 15" bias plys.
4. Ngk tr6's 18 bucks
5. NX wetkit pricing 350-1000.

and say hello to deep 12 - mid 11's

lol at nitrous, it's true tho -best bang for the buck. But in that logic any car can be a 12 second car (reasonably)

or you can get a bunch of stickers and put them on ur car. Some under glows and a good wax job will probably get ya there.

thats about what 250 dollars. nitrous has nothing on those mods look at most of the ricers they have that and they own all.

but its gonna cost ya a good 4gs almost anyway you do it. Supercharger would probably be the easiest way. Unless you do use nitrous which Im debating on making my car a blown gt or just put some stage 2 cams, mph stage 2.5 heads and then mayb some nitrous. Either way it can be a pretty expensive road to get to 12s depending on how far in teh 12s you wanna go.

13s would be pretty easy all you need are some gears and a full exhaust with long tubes and you should be in the low 13s with sticky tires.

my 2 cents
JUST SAVE for a charger and some serious bottom end work.. it will pay off down the road.

well I would like to stay away from NOS , I would like to keep the motor till the car is paid off.

I will be doing the exhaust, gears, tunner and something to help the car to get off the line a bit better not s..sure whats best for that should put me deep into the 13's or am I out in left feild?

no reason to, if you are smart you will not have issues with it. get a wet shot, gears tires and suspension. withought the spray, get gears, tires/wheels,minor induction mods or exhaust. Suspension and weight reduction are you your best friends.

too get deep 13s i would say a good set of tires like bfgs long tubes x pipe, catback, tb and plenum and a good tune should get you in the 13.3 area id say oh and some good driving. Oh and the biggest thing of all gears either 4.10 or 3.73 depending on what u wanna do later on

To run 12s:
1) 100shot of nitrous
2) sticky tires
3) O/R midpipe and catback
4) CAI and 70mm intake plenum
5) SCT calibrator

Should cost u about $2500-$2700 if you do the work yourself.

I just saw that he doesn't want nitrous.

To the thread starter: this means that you'll have to dish out extra cash to get there.

A Nitrous Express plate system with 100-150hp jets
will put you right into the 12's in the 1/4 mile with some
pratice at the track.I don't see why you will not consider
a nitrous kit because nitrous is as safe as you make it my friend.

:Word: Yeah, nitrous is safe as long as you stay at or below a 100shot and have a safe air:fuel ratio.
