How the heck do I get this out?!?

Not sure if this should be tech or talk...but anyways....

How do I get the center double vent unit out of the dash?!? I have tried prying with a flat screwdriver, but no luck. Is there a trick to this? I want to install a dual guage vent pod, but I can't get the old ones out!

You have to squeeze the vents from the center 2 horizontal slats in each vent and pull them out with your hands. (No tools requierd here). Then to get the housing out you will see 4 tabs behind each vent. 2 on top and 2 on the bottom. You lift these up with a small screwdriver and pull with you other hand to pull it out.
