How to Bleed the Brakes on a 96gt

You have the order down right. But before you bleed them at the wheels, bleed the master cylinder. You don't have to take the master cylinder off, you wil see the bleeder screws on the side of the unit. Bleed that first, then the wheels from the rear passenger on up to the drivers side front.

do yourself a favor and invest in a hand held vacum bleeder , it will not only bleed brakes alone , it does a better job as you can just suck out all the old fluid and a 1996 the fluid is probally shot anyway , just keep the master cylnder filled go slow & do it till the fluid is as clear as water......you will never go back to pumping & holding done the pedal.....I never knew brake fluid goes bad and you cant get a good petal......I have a 1999 with high milage the fluid was like green slime mud......read a site on brake jobs & taking out all the old fluid every 30,000 miles, the whole brake system will last a lot longer.....also keep ypur eyes out foe 1999 twin piston set up its an easy & fairly cheap swap and will make a big difference...........Johnny
