How to Bleed the Convertible Pump System? I can't

I need some help in bleeding the convertible pump.

I made the mistake of removing all of the fluid on one side of the lines by putting the top down manually the other day. I drained a lot (cup) of fluid, and now can't properly bleed the system.

I filled the pump, to the threads, and capped it, put it together, and now I can't get it to bleed. The fluid in the pump is not going anywhere. I open it up and it is still full.

What do I need to do with the bleed hole, and stopper?

Also, here is an image of the Driver side ram.

I need help on the top or bottom hose also.

I should be driving a notch, or hatchback, this convertible stuff never stops.

are you trying to bleed the system with the reservoir filler hole plugged or open?

Thats what I need to know, I don't know whether to keep it open, or a little open, or closed.

Should I put the top down, and then try to bleed it?

I am confused.

from what I gather, you need to fill to the threads, run it up and down as much as possible with the cap on but not tight( gotta let the air out somewhere!) and then check and refill the reservoir. Keep doing this until the top runs good and the reservoir stays to the threads...

I'm sure someone will add to this as I have only had to refill once and didn't need to bleed the system... but to the best of my knowledge, thats how it goes!

To bleed the system, leave the cap off and cycle the top up and down 5 times..... Then check the system (refill if necessary)

1. Cycle meaning just run the motor?

2. Or Cycle meaning to physically move the top up and down by helping it.

I did the second option, with the bleed hole uncapped fully and the fluid just spilled over and got all over the place.

The fluid was not moving when I let the motor turn up and down 5 times.

The fluid did move, and spill all over the place, when I manually lifted the top, while turning the motor.

I haven't trapped air in the line yet... If leaving the motor plug out didn't do it (sorry about the mess) you could try to loosen the plug on the ram and see if that will bleed the air out of the system.

I run the motor to bleed the top...

Cycle means to run the top up/down.
