Engine How to check if iac valve pigtail is working with a multimeter

Can anyone give me the steps for how you do this with a multimeter. Thanks.

Red wire to battery ground should give you 12V with key on. The other wire is a switch ground

The IAC is PWM, so it's a little trickier to test and the method I want to suggest might fry the ECU so I will do some research first.
