I have a piece of grass and a dead bug behind my instrument cluster plastic. I tried sticking a vacuum up to the trip button but that didn't work. Is there anyway possible to get into there to clean it out????

If its behind the plastic, you can take off the whole bezel and get to it to clean it. If you go here... http://www.stangnet.com/reviews/macgauge.html it shows you how to take off the bezel, its a lot of work, but if its bugging you, you could take a sunday and get it all done and clean. Good luck.
