I tried changing my fuel injectors over the weekend and got into a little problem getting the fuel rail off of the old injectors. I noticed that the lower intake was really black and dirty. How would I go about cleaning the lower intake? Anyone have a step by step method that I should use?

also when the injectors go back in lube them up with some vaseline on the o-rings and they will just POP right back in, much easier and you dont have to worry about messing up the o-ring and having a fuel leak

you might want to try an air spray gun. Those things blow like hell, and it will even remove old pilled up oil. Its works great.

If there is a local machine shop, go there. They will glassbead blast it for like 10 bucks.
