Hey guys. I just recently purchased a 92 LX coupe and I want to clean up the engine bay. What is the best way to do this?? i want to clean up the intake really nice and all the wires and stuff. I am pretty sure that for the black stuff its probably best to clean it and then paint it but on the intake what should I do? Can I put some soft of a wheel in a drill or something and go to town on it or something?? gotta be someway to make it sparkle!!!

the intake didnt look good even when brand new IMO, i would have it polished/painted and ported if u want to keep the stock upper and lower

Your right it didn't but I dont really want to go through all that. Just want it to be shiny again and not all dirty. Has got to be something farily simple that I can do with it.

Shiny again? Or just very clean? Big difference.

You can use Simple Green or Purple Power, or other similar products. Warm up the engine, spray some on, let soak a few minutes, scrub with a brush, then rinse and repeat. It may take a few cycles to start making a really noticable difference, but it will work.
