On my 98, the drivers side looks great (had been hit and repainted) but the passenger side is the orginal paint, and is faded not bad but just noticeable. So what is the best way (other than a total paint job) to fix this. When I got it last summer you could not tell it then, I dont know if it had just been buffed or what.

The reason the one side looks better is they used a bc/cc system. The other paint is oxydized. You can polish it back to gloss with 3m perfect it 2. Then hand glaze or machine glaze 3m. Then the wax of your choice. I use race glaze. A machine polisher will work the best for polishing. You will have to do this occasionally as the finish will oxidize again. Another thing you could do is prep the car with 600 and clear the faded panels. This will not fade over time.
