I've seen tons of posts on flipping quad shocks, but none on how to do it

Is it just a remove bolts, turn upside down, bolt in affair? should the car be jacked up by the body with the axle hanging to do this? or can it be done with the car on the ground?

also, on an unrelated note, I'm getting a set of maximum motorsports full length subframes installed in a couple days. once they are installed, will I be able to use the subframes as a jacking point, or will I risk damaging the subframes/car?

Thanks

You should jack it up, it will be way easier to do without the rear tires on.

The nut that holds the quad shock to the rear is welding on, so you need to unscrew the bolt from it.

Yes you just flip it.

If the subframes are installed the right way, you should be fine jacking the car from them.

Jack the car up on the Kmember in the front and the rear end in the back..the jack stands can be placed under the axle tubes with NO issues what so ever. I wouldn't jack up the car of the SFC..wrecks the paint, promotes rust...I will often use the cars frame.
