how to get lower control arm off

you dont necessarilly have to drop the rearend all the way, but if that's the way you want to go, just take off everything- brake hose, parking brake cable, drive shaft shocks and springs etc. and make sure you have the car supported on the chassis, and then jack the rearend up separately. Then fo course you work with the arms now. Good luck!:SNSign:

well I totaled my car and Im parting it out. The only thing left to keep me from dropping the rear is the control arm. The bolt in the upper will not move out of the bushing. It is completey bound up. So should I melt it with a propane torch or something? I dont think the sawzall can handle a stock control arm.

I good saw-zal will cut right through that lower no problem. You could also use a torch, if you are parting the car out just cut it somehow, don't stress about unbolting it, they are a PITA
