I was using a cutting torch under my car and a few sparks some how made its way into the interior and caught the backseat's padding on fire. I didn't notice it right away until the interior filled with smoke. There isn't any fire damage, just smoke damage. I stripped my interior and I'm going to wash the metal and all the interior pieces down really well and then repaint everything. I am replacing the carpet and the headliner too. Anyone ever experienced anything this horrible before and how did you deal with the smoke odor??? Do you think what I am doing will fix it?

Frebreeze ( how ever you spell it) No kidding. I'm a smoker and when I turned in my last company vehicle I sprayed the crap outta the interior to get rid of the ciggy smoke. It realy worked, when I dropped it off my nonsmoker boss was like how in the hell did you get rid of the cig smoke smell.

Best solution I know

Open the windows and leave it parked in the sun, it`ll bake it out. May take a day or 2.
