How to get wondow crank off?

How do you get the window crank of. It is a 97 if that changes anything. I think you have to pull some clip out from behind it but just checkin before i go brakin stuff.

Push the door panel in some so you can see the clip. Then use a piece of cloth or rag to wrap around the spindle and pop the clip off. Be careful you don't lose the clip
