Also keep in mind if you guys with 96-98 stangs do a headswap, the Compression ratio changes. I believe the 96-98 Stangs have flat top pistons.

To much compression on a supercharged car is not a good thing.

Easiest thing to do is get a complete engine out of a wrecked 99+ stang and then supercharge that. The compression will be the same but you get the better heads and supercharger on top of it. Lots more potential.

Yes, most definitely. Sad isn't it.
Funny when I just got up from the TV watching the show only to come here and see this thread.

Just saw it today while eating lunch after work. I thought they were going to
do some work on that neat rousch stang they had on before the 96-97 s/c
upgrade. And they were real proud on a 85-90 hp gain Give me a
break! Obviously, they have time limits but they flew thru everything. Anyway,
good to see it on tv. The last ten minutes of the show were dedicated to this
guy from brooklyn running under 8's. The track shown on tv is only 12 miles
south of me Mark

I agree...take that as a challenge! Unfortunately, in our hobby, more often than never, the word "challenge" means spending some $$$$$.

Yup. That's what I did. My shop put the LT's, clutch, and A/C delete on at the same time for no extra charge.

That was sad, but I'm not giving up on my stang, because I like being under estimated. I also notice nothing was said about injectors, mass air meter, or chip. I thought Vortech supplied some of those items with the kit.

The $150 is the misc. stuff you need... its not that hard to install it your self

I got quoted at $550 for the install from a good mustang shop.
