If anyone remembers my thread a few weeks ago about wrecking my car, you'll know that the rain, myself, and my Mustang didn't get along too well at that time. Tonight I decided to go out with a few friends who enjoy drifting a whole lot. They took me to some real good local spots, just to get used to my car when it's spinning, sliding, and having an all around good time! It was a blast, and I actually learned a lot from the night.

Me and my car used to not get along in the rain either! Then I purchased Goodyear Eagle F1 Allseasons and my car is very happy running in the water (Not advertising, just really happy with the results I got from these tires!)

Best thing you can do playing around like that. As long as its fairly safe...like an empty parking lot not a packed wally world parking lot.

Gets you to know how the car reacts and helps you learn what works and what does not. Once you get used to it and how the car reacts its almost second nature.

Cool! You know, when I brought that up in the thread, I was talking about doing it in snow, and the 95 is a summer only car, so it's never really been wrung out on the skid pad...hmmm....wonder what the forecast is for this weekend???

How much are the Goodyears per tire, 293stang? I've got Sumitomo HTR+ on the rears right now, and they work amazingly well as opposed to the ones that were on the car when I bought it! And I agree with knowing how the car reacts. It was fun, while at the same time being a great learning experience. It's probably going to rain tonight, so a few friends and I will be out around the same lot doing it all over again, only this time I'm gonna work on learning to CORRECTLY countersteer.
