Tryed re-installing the head. It feels like its almost impossible to get the gasket back on there lined up with the head. Those heads are so friggin heavy. Heres my question: Can I use a few dabs of RTV sealent on the gaskets to hold them in place or no? Im guessing no but its just wishful thinking....

Theres 2 alignment dowel pins. They hold the gasket in place and you then drop the head on. Thats why you should get aluminum heads, their 1/2 as heavy so its easier to install

I see, they were in my heads when I pulled them off. I guess I overlooked putting them into the block

You think E7's are heavy? Try pulling a head off a 409.

From what I understand, and this could be internet rumors, but GT40P heads are 5 pounds heavier than E7's, and iron DART heads are even heavier.

I'd rather lift cylinder heads than engine blocks all day long.
