How to remove air silencer

I have a K&N air filter but how can i remove the air silencer?

Its rubber just remove the airbox and pull it off, or take a razor blade and cut it so that it ends right after it enters the fender well.

I just gave it a twist and it popped right out. Didn't want to cut it in case I need to put it back on for some reason.

The trimming with a razor that CodyGT is talking about is for those who wish to leave the silencer in but to open it up. It is wide where it attaches to the filter housing, but narrows considerably to a nozzle in the fender. What he meant by trimming it is to cut the tip off of the nozzle thereby making the opening bigger. I did this, but, in the end, I took the silencer off entirely.
No need to take a razor to it to remove it - and I'm sure this is not what CodyGT had meant.

Yep, Thats what I meant. I just didn't like the way it looked without it on.
