Can someone tell me how the 'shopping cart bumper' door trim is affixed and how it can be safely removed? Thanks

Although I have no clue what you're talking about (even walked outside and stared at my doors for a few minutes to try,) here's a bump for you.

dental floss and water, windex,(whatever wont hurt your paint) as a lube for the floss. Then use adhesive remover to remove the glue redue(rub with a little muscle but not hard). Then apply a coat of cleaner wax when finished.

He is talking about the horizontal piece that is stuck on the side of the door on some Mustangs. He is a good man for wanting to remove it

It's very rarely put on GT's, but i have seen it on a few.

WHat he is talking about is usually put on V6 Mustangs. It's been put on them since 1994 and dealers still put them on '06 V6 Mustangs

He means these things smack dab in the middle of the door

I removed them on mine last spring. I used a hairdryer at about 6 inch from the molding and gently pull it off the body. I mean very gently. It will come off without damage.
Cleaned the residu off the doors and let it be for 24 hours. You ll see after the removal some mark on the paint. It will disapaer after a while ( 24 hours ) than wax it.

Yuck, that is one ugly add-on. Solution for preventing cart dings after removing these guards--park far away, where no carts dare to venture.
