how to remove needles

I searched but couldnt find exactly what I was looking for.

I bought white faced gauges for my 87 and do not know how to correctly remove the needles. I guessing you have to pry straight up on them but I am nervous to do so because they seem so delicate. I tried just pulling up on them but that didnt work. Any tips? Thanks guys

Lay a thick peice of paper on the gauges so they don't scratch and use a fork to lever them up

I used a small salad fork

Pull up smooth and even. They will come off...

yep sometimes theyre just compressed on and the fork makes you not feel like your going to snap them haha

Dont forget to take a pic of the neeldes before you remove them so you can put them back exactly like they were

Cool, what gauges did you get man?

I bought these about 2 years ago lol. Except back then they were just two color gauges, green and blue. I just also bought a polished aluminum bezel to go with it. I will post pictures when they are all done

I ran into a problem I figured out my speedo is no good. The coil spring inside is all broken and twisted up, so if anyone is selling a cluster or a speedo out of an 87-89 let me know please
